Fire making in the woods | ferro rod & cramp ball fungus

We took the opportunity to practice fire lighting skills during a recent kit testing trip to the woods. For this fire we used cramp ball fungus (Daldinia Concentrica) some Birch bark strips and a ferro rod struck with the back of a knife to make the sparks.
